Schutz vor schädlichem Licht

Der größte Teil des sichtbaren Lichtspektrums ist für unser Sehvermögen und unser allgemeines Wohlbefinden unerlässlich. Embedded lens protection with Eye Protect System

Crizal Prevencia powered by Eye Protect System protects wearers eyes by absorbing selected blue-violet light waves into the material of the lens. Eye Protect System and Lightscan offers a maximized protection, filtering on average 30% of blue-violet light (1.59 index lens).

Lenses are protected by a scratch resistant booster, a nano millimetre layer located behind the AR layer. The scratch resistant booster layer is designed to gradually increases in hardness.

Smudges appear on lenses due to uneven nano molecules found on the surface of coatings. By smoothing fluorinated molecules into a consistent pattern Crizal Sapphire UV coatings offer a superior smudge repellence.

A micro-layer found on both the front and back surface of the lens minimises reflections and allows more light to pass through the lens, removing unwanted reflection for wearers.

(1) Crizal Prevencia blocks 20% of the harmful Blue-Violet light, reducing retinal cell death by 25%. The Blue-Violet light cut may slightly differ depending on lens material. In vitro experiments conducted by Essilor and Paris Vision Institute,Retinal Pigment Epithelium cells were exposed to Blue-Violet light, reproducing the physiological exposure to sunlight of the 40-year-old human eye.
